Sunday

What's going on today? Well, after I worked in the nursery at church we stopped by Target where I picked up a Swiffer WetJet and a few other little things I've been wanting to buy for a while but haven't wanted to spend the money. Oh what that tax return does to you. Our goal this year is not to spend it all frivolously however. We will be saving most of it. Finally.

So far this afternoon I've mopped my whole house minus our bedroom. That, I need to sweep with an actual broom...then mop. What an exciting Sunday. Don't you wish you were here? =)

The rest of my day will be spent with my sweet little boy and the books I need to read for tomorrow while Caleb watches old MASH reruns. I have so much due this Friday...we'll see if I get it done. I'll let you know.

Choppy, uneventful...but such is life.

Days off rock!

We had a lot of fun today. Nathan and I met up with some friends of ours from church. Ashleigh is about a month older than Nathan so her mom Meta and I decided to take them to "Book Babies" at the library near my work. It was great to finally be able to do something SAHM-y for once. Nathan seemed to enjoy it, he's never seen so many babies before, he couldn't stop staring.

After the library we went out to eat, both kiddos did well. Poor Nathan kept having his naps interrupted however. Since he falls asleep the second he gets in the car I had to wake him up twice (once at the library and once at the restaurant) so when we got home I sat in the car for 40 minutes so he could finally get an hour of sleep.

Other than that I've just been doing some laundry and dishes today. Need to finish this up since I really should be  working on my homework that's due tomorrow. I was planning on starting it around 5 but Caleb had to set up the new speakers he got for the computer and then it was time for dinner. Guess I better get started.

If you get bored and are in any way interested in libraries, check out my school blog (for my class) at http://lis768.tametheweb.com/ksteve85/

To Nathan

Nathan,

You're going to be 6 months old in fifteen days. Can you please explain to me where the those last six months went? How did the pudgy little thing I gave birth to morph into this adorable little man? I hate leaving you everyday to go to work, but I must admit the best part of my day is when I walk in that door and you jump up and down. The excitement on your face is worth it. You are growing so fast, it amazes me. Three teeth in less than a month...rolling over...I'm sure you'll be sitting up in the next couple weeks. All of these beautiful milestones make up for the fact that you're still not sleeping through the night. ;)

I love you sweet boy! It's incredibly bittersweet watching you grow. This morning as I watched you sleep you scrunched your brow and I saw the sixteen year old you will become. So big, so fast. I miss you already.

Love,
Mommy
