I'm 26 weeks today, but here is my 25 week picture. I'm always a week behind in keeping up to date here.

so so true...

"I think Dan Brown is a terribly bad writer, but he has cliffhangers after every chapter which makes you continue reading. It's like eating peanuts at a bar. You don't like them, but you keep on eating them anyway." -Stellan Skarsgard

Yeah...Stellan Skarsgard is pretty much my new best friend. I don't think I could agree more...I mean really, have you read this book?

100 days...

Tomorrow marks my 100 day milestone---only a 100 days left! I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy is flying by. Somedays it feels like it isn't, but other times I just marvel at how soon we'll be holding our little boy in our arms. He's getting so much stronger too. He still hasn't kicked me in the rib cage yet (maybe I'll luck out and he'll be nice to his mommy) but his movements in the last week have gone from the pokes and jabs to full on rolls. He moves my entire belly when he moves, all the movements are very "fluid"...hard to explain if you can't see it or have never experienced it. It is so interesting though! There is really a little human inside there...wow.

In other news, I took my Basic Skills test today. One of the three tests you take for your Illinois Teaching Certification. I had to take it before I can be accepted into the School Library Media Program at Dominican. I hope I did okay. Everyone says its easy so I don't want to be one of the only ones who actually fails the thing. I've been worried about it all week. Math is NOT my strong point...I mean I'm B-A-D at math and it is more my fear of it that makes me that way. When I know how to do the math and am comfortable with it I can do okay, but when I haven't touched it in a while (lets say since fall of 2005?) my brain freezes and wont even begin to process it. I literally become the equivalent of a rock trying to do a math problem. My mind doesn't even move, it just stops and says NOPE!! Je ne sais pas!

Ehh, to top it off I don't even get my scores for another month. I'll get to find out if I passed just in time for my 24th birthday...I'd better pass. Maybe my awesome reading skills will counteract my inability to process math.

Alright, I promised Caleb I'd watch LOST on abc.com while he was at Wolverine w/ Jeremiah. Our DVR is apparently incapable of realizing that we want the entire 2hr. special recorded, not just the first "recap" hour that we don't watch anyway. Hope you have a great weekend!

my first mommy's day...

I had an eventful weekend! Cathy and I met for breakfast and shopping on Saturday morning out in Arlington Heights. We even stopped by the farmer's market and I got fresh strawberries and fresh eggs! I loved it, I'm going to have to find our local farmer's market this summer and do some weekly shopping.

Later, after I got home I had about an hour before we headed downtown for a going away party at PF Chang's for the couple whose apartment we're taking. Considering Caleb and I rarely go out at all, going all the way out to the suburbs and then all the way downtown in one day...well, that's a lot for me. I was quite social this weekend if I do say so myself.

Sunday was my first Mother's Day. I find it interesting who out there considers a pregnant woman a mother and who doesn't. Not that we did anything big for it, but I did get a card from Caleb and from my family. I think as soon as you're pregnant you're a mommy. I'm constantly thinking about this little guy and eventhough I don't know him yet and he's not making me cards or crying for me, I am his mommy. So, Happy Mother's Day to all the pregnant first time moms out there that might not have gotten a Mother's Day gift/card. You should have.

In other news, classes have started again. I have class @ 6pm tonight. Lovely. I really wish we could have gotten at least two weeks in between semesters, but whatever. We meet twice a week rather than once (like in the fall/spring semesters) but at least I only have one class at a time and only have to do one class worth of homework. Plus, it'll be done at the end of June and then I get to start my second summer class. Don't worry, I'm taking the fall off for the baby...no way I'm taking two classes w/ a newborn! I'll start back up in the spring. Maybe by then we'll have a routine of sorts.

Hope everyone has a great week. I'm excited to find out what Krista and Emily are having! Krista finds out Wednesday and Emily finds out Thursday...can't wait girls!!!

yay for friday!

Only three more weeks until we move into our new place! I can't wait =)

This week at work was interesting. Yesterday I got to interview my future boss. Our head librarian is retiring after next school year and they're bringing in her replacement a year early so they can train under her. It was a cool opportunity to get to be a part of. I have a feeling I know who they'll hire, but we'll have to see. Of the four candidates two very strong and two were pretty weak.

In baby news, I'm almost 25 weeks ~ that means I only have 15 weeks left, crazy! Although I've been excited since day 1, Wednesday was the first day I wanted to randomly jump up and down w/ excitement over this little boy. Completely out of the blue, I started thinking about him and wanted to shout how excited I was. He's becoming so real to me these days. Caleb can even hear his heartbeat through my stomach now! Amazing.

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend. Cathy and I are meeting for breakfast tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a girls day out, we don't do them very often. We're meeting at her place and then going to the farmer's market before breakfast. It should be fun =)

quick update..

We get to go back over to our new place this evening and look at it again. I'm going to bring my camera...hopefully they don't mind! I wanted to take pictures of the bathrooms b/c I'm going to have to buy new rugs and a shower curtain for one of them. I just need to decide which one and I can't remember the paint scheme in either one.

My eyes hurt...too much computer time. Guess it's time to get off. See yah!

getting bigger...

Here's my 23 week belly pic. I'm 24 weeks this week and obviously quite slow at getting my pictures onto the computer. Sorry about that.
